About Us

OUR MISSION:

Bring women together
for the glory of God.

The Women’s Fall Retreat was started by a group of Catholic women from Winchester, who had experienced the joy of gathering with a group of faithful women at a Muskoka Christian women’s retreat for many years. The Women’s Fall Retreat in the Archdiocese of Kingston was first offered in 2010 to minister to women of all ages in a Catholic setting. With the beauty and majesty of the St. Lawrence River in our midst it was only fitting that the retreat would be located somewhere along the Thousand Islands parkway, and so Glen House became our venue.

As our retreats have unfolded year by year, we have been privileged to welcome eleven inspiring lay Catholic women in Canada as our keynote speakers, a wide variety of talented musicians and break out session leaders, and hosted over 700 hundred women at our weekends.

While the retreats are supported by the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Kingston, the program and activities of the retreats are organized and delivered by a dedicated WFR Team of lay women each year who pray and work together to present a faith experience that will bring women of all ages together for inspiration, for rest and for the glory of God.

We continue to move forward by hosting a group of women of all ages at Glen House Resort each year, by calling out the gifts of lay women in our midst, by making the sacraments of Reconciliation and Holy Communion available through our priests to everyone over the weekend, and by collaborating and praying together as we seek the abundant life to be found in our faith in Christ Jesus.

Our Team

Our dynamic organizing team is made up of passionate women from parishes across Kingston, Brockville, Kemptville, and Richmond, guided and inspired by our spiritual advisor, Father Brian McNally. The incredible success of the Women’s Fall Retreat reflects not only the growing interest but also the profound need for a space where women can come together to reflect, renew their faith, and nurture their spiritual journey. This retreat has become a beacon of inspiration and connection for women seeking deeper meaning in their faith lives.
