Our Keynote speaker was Beverly Illauq, BA, B Ed, Dip Min, a retired Catholic
teacher, a trauma and addictions counselor, and a mother and grandmother
in an Inuk family with First Nations family connections. Bev’s involvement in
the Church is extensive, including music ministry, sacramental preparation,
Children’s Liturgy and Vacation Bible Camps at her home parish. She also
chairs the Women’s Fall Retreat team, writes a blog as well as articles for the
Living With Christ missal, and is a founding member of Catholics
Approaching Indigenous Non-Indigenous Reconciliation (CAIR).
